With numerous prominent buildings, Such as Roy Grounds’ Blackwood Hall,  feeding onto Monash Universities performing arts centre courtyard it continues to fail to become a significant public space within the campus.

AMA and Aspect studios have been approached to take the empty concrete space and create a heathy public place which can adapt to its users requirements. While most of the time it will be a place for staff and students to relax, it will also accommodate important functions such as outdoor art performances and twice yearly graduation ceremonies. The courtyard is also a primary entry point into the campus that must celebrate ones arrival.
