Weary Bay house

AMA was approached to provide a transportable solution for the remote town of Weary Bay. The client decided to use our solution due to the restrictive access to her site. The site is in an isolated area of the North Queensland coast, 200km South of Cairns along bumpy dirt tracks. The client could not get builders and trades people to travel to the remote site. They were also reluctant to have typical on-site construction as, similarly to the Borogrove house, it would damage the site. We designed a light weight, energy efficient house that could be manufactured off site and transported along dirt roads without compromise on structural integrity and quality.
