In December 2004 Andrew Maynard was approached to participate in the CITY OF MILAN AWARD 2005 FOR YOUNG FOREIGN DESIGNERS. Participation in the award was by invitation only. The invitation was "extended to 50 Australian designers of promise."

Andrew's Urban Camouflage was among 17 designs chosen to exhibit at the world renowned TRIENNALE di MILANO design museum and the Milan International Furniture Fair, the "Salone del Mobile"

In mid 2005 ‘milanese urban camouflage’ was exhibited at Federation Square in Melbourne as part of the Design Festival.
